After a fantastic 2016, we’re looking forward to the year ahead. This year our personal season tickets are even better value as we’ve reduced the price from £45 to £40 to make the season even more affordable and enjoyable.
We are opening on the 25th of March; between then and 24th September we will be hosting over 30 special event days and 100 open days. As always we’ve selected a range of events so that there’s something for everybody. There’s some old favourites: such as the Jousting events, being hosted on 16-17th April for Easter, and 18th June for Father’s Day; the Hertfordshire Garden Show on 29–30th April – 1st May; and Dino Adventure on 29th May and 6th August. But we’re also hosting some new events this year:
Dog Fest – 24-25th June
Hosted by Channel 4’s Supervet, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, DogFest offers dogs and their owners a fun-filled weekend of activities, with highlights including The Great Dog Walk and Supervet Live show on the main stage. With have-a-go activities for your dog to take part in, training and agility sessions as well as grooming for pampered pooches, this promises to be the dog’s tail.
The Great British Food Festival – 22-23rd July
There will be over 70 artisan stalls, craft and gift stalls, tasty hot food vendors, great chef demos, kids’ cookery and circus workshops, and live music throughout the day. This will be a great foodie day out for the whole family.
Classic Ibiza – 19th August
The Urban Soul Orchestra conducted by Stephen Hussey will perform classic Ibiza anthems under the stars. This will be the biggest dance party of the summer full of iconic Ibiza anthems. A chill-out set in the first half will be followed by a half hour interval with DJ Goldierocks playing the latest Ibiza tunes. As dusk falls, the lasers will hit the skyline as the Urban Soul Orchestra return to bring some of the best of the White Island’s dance tunes to orchestral life. It’s going to be a night to remember!
Great British Prom – 20th August
Join us for a tour through the home nations, beginning in England with songs such as the Dam Busters March, through Ireland for Danny Boy, Bread of Heaven in Wales, and the Flower of Scotland for our final nation. Further iconic tracks will include Swing Low Sweet Chariot; you’ll Never Walk Alone and a selection from Oliver, concluding with traditional Proms favourites and a spectacular firework display. A magnum of champagne will be awarded for the best dressed British iconic character!
