Adventure Playground Attendant

Main duties include:
Supervising visitors especially children on the different apparatus
Working as part of the team to maintain high level of customer service
To ensure that the playground is kept tidy
To be alert to any health and safety issues and bring to a supervisor’s attention
Hours: 10:00/10:30am – 5.15pm

Main Gate Attendant

Main duties include:
Greeting Customers with a high level of customer service
Selling or controlling various different tickets to the park and house
Cash handling
To be alert to any Health and Safety issues and bring them to a supervisor’s attention
To work as part of a team to ensure the customers get through the main gate as quickly and efficiently as possible
Hours: 10.00am – 4.30pm (Hours vary on event days)

Car Parking Attendant

Main duties include:
Stewarding car parking on event days
Greeting Customers with a high level of customer service
To be alert to any Health and Safety issues and bring them to a supervisor’s attention
Hours: 9am – 3pm (Hours vary depending on event)

House Guide / Room Steward

Main duties include:
Working as part of the team to maintain high level of customer service, you will be the face of Knebworth House.
Hours: 11:45am – 5:00pm approx. times may vary to accommodate private bookings.
Once trained deliver a 1 hr guided tour to groups of the general public
Act as Room Steward on event days.
Assist with Filming and private bookings in the house.
To be alert to any Health and Safety issues and bring them to a manager’s attention

Gift Shop

Main duties include:
Offering excellent customer service at all times
Open and close shop when on duty
Cash handling
Selling, Restocking and Tidying the shop and stock room
Assist in other areas in the house and park
Hours: 10.30am – 5.30pm (Hours vary on event days)

Garden Steward

Main duties include:
Greeting Customers with a high level of customer service, (you will play a vital part of their first impression of the House and Gardens)
Open and Close gardens when on duty.
Keep garden areas tidy and free from rubbish.
Look after the Brass rubbing table and Dino trail areas.
Implement guidelines regarding Picnics, dogs and climbing trees in the formal garden.

Hours: 10:30am – 5:30pm (Hours may vary depending on event)

You will need to be flexible and adaptable. All casual seasonal staff work is on a rota basis, including weekends. Knebworth Park is open at the weekends from March – September and daily during the school holidays. Applicants must be available to work some weekends. Please confirm your availability in your covering letter. There may also be some opportunities to work at out of season events during the rest of the year. Applicants should be over 16 and have a National Insurance number.
