* Some facilities such as The Garden Terrace Room and Fort Knebworth, will not be open. Light refreshments and/or meals can be pre-arranged. Please check availability with the Group Bookings Co-ordinator.

Opening Times - Park, Gardens, Dinosaurs, The Garden Terrace Room, Playground & Railway: 11.00am – 5.00pm

House & Raj Display: pre-booked group tours can be accommodated from 10.00am – 4.00pm

Refreshments and Catering – The Garden Terrace Room operates a self-service facility, offering a selection of hot dishes, salads, sandwiches, cakes and cream teas.  Pre-booked refreshments are available to groups of 20 plus. Group menus are available on request. All group refreshments must be pre-booked when visiting on a day outside our normal opening times.

Disabled Facilities  - Wheelchair accessible toilets are located at the entrance to the Gardens, in the House and at the Adventure Playground. A wheelchair is available for use in the Gardens. As an historic building the house has no lift, however Knebworth's history can be conveyed to visitors on the ground floor. Registered assistance dogs are permitted throughout the house, gardens and park. Essential carers are admitted free of charge by prior arrangement.

Booking a Visit

• Pre-booking is required for all group visits, to avoid disappointment please telephone to check availability.
• Bookings can be made by post, fax, telephone or e-ma and will be held for 14 days. The management reserves the right to cancel provisional bookings from the diary should no confirmation be forthcoming after 14 days.
• Your booking will be confirmed in writing upon receipt of the group booking form.
• It is the organiser’s responsibility to ensure that one payment is received for the total admission costs.
• For bookings made several months in advance a deposit may be levied.
• We offer a free familiarisation visit for group organisers of confirmed group bookings to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
• Final numbers and payment are required 7 days prior to your visit regrettably Knebworth House is not able to offer refunds.
• Normal admission fees will be charged for additional visitors on the day.
• Payment can be made by cheque, cash or credit card.
• All credit card payments will incur a 3 per cent handling fee.
• During our visitor opening times coach drivers will receive free admission and a £5.00 refreshment which can be exchanged in the Garden Terrace Room.
• There is ample on site parking for coaches.

Please note that some facilities, such as the Garden Terrace Room, the gift shop, playground refreshment kiosk and railway will not be open if you are booking a visit on a day when we are not open to the public.  Please check availability with the Group Bookings Co-ordinator.
