Tickets sold out even faster than usual for this year’s Knebworth Pumpkin Trail and Treats.
The challenge of completing the Pumpkin Trail of fun games and activities around the Garden was rewarded by a goody bag. Games in the garden included Pumpkin Ping Pong, Pumpkin Pot Shot and also Hook-a-Pumpkin – but the Broomstick Croquet was easily the most popular, requiring a steady hand and a devilishly cunning strategy.
After all that activity, children enjoyed taking a few minutes to relax and listen to an entertaining story. Alex, the story teller delighted children (and their parents) during the afternoon with her fantastic tales.
The Garden Terrace Tea Room served tasty home-made Pumpkin Soup and special chocolate batty biscuits which were hugely popular with visitors.
Martha Lytton Cobbold, Managing Director of Lytton Enterprises commented;“The Pumpkin Trail & Treats is created by the Knebworth House events and gardens teams. It’s wonderful to see the children in some amazing costumes, and the families having such a fabulous time in the Autumnal Gardens”.
