PRINT FOR REFERENCE BY ROAD - There is a major traffic management plan in force to help alleviate traffic congestion. Regular traffic bullet-ins will be broadcast on HERTBEAT FM 106.7 and 106.9. To minimise traffic
congestion as much as possible we would strongly advise you use the following
routes to the concert by road : If you are travelling from north of Stevenage (driving south) you should leave the A1(M) at Junction 8, and follow the concert signage for car parking in Stevenage. Do not use Junction 7, the roundabout is closed, you will not be able to turn right into Knebworth Park. If you are travelling from the Luton and Milton Keynes area you should use the A505 to Hitchin, then follow signs for concert parking along the A656. If you are travelling from the midlands/north west, you should use the M6 then A14 then onto the A1 (M), leaving at Junction 8, and follow concert signage for car parking in Stevenage. As stated above, do not use Junction 7, the roundabout is closed and you will not be able to turn right into Knebworth Park. If you are travelling
from East Anglia using the A505, turn off onto the A10 and then the A602
- do not attempt to drive through Baldock on the A505, heavy congestion
is very likely there. or online at www.gigsandtours.com/robbieparking If you driving from the north, come off the A1(M) at Junction 8, follow the concert car park signs into Stevenage, and at Sixhills Way roundabout then follow DROP OFF/PICK UP signage onto Caxton Way. If you are driving from the south, come off the A1(M) at Junction 6, take the B197 into Stevenage, follow the concert car park signage to Sixhills Way roundabout then follow DROP OFF/PICK UP signage onto Caxton Way. Customers then join the main pedestrian walkway to the concert site when dropped off, a ten minute walk to the concert site. DISABLED PARKING DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
PARK IN ANY UNAUTHORISED AREAS . A TOWAWAY SYSTEM WILL BE IN FULL EFFECT
ON ALL CONCERT DAYS, AND WILL BE RIGOROUSLY ENFORCED. NB - do not use Knebworth station for these concerts. If you get off at Knebworth Station you will be on the wrong side of the concert site, there is no entrance there so you will not be able to access the concert. Please also be advised
that after the concert all rail users will obviously wish to leave at
the same time. Due to the numbers attending these concerts this is impossible,
so please be patient at the station. The train station and surround will
have a simple queueing system, has plenty of toilets etc outside, and
will have a large security and police presence. See WAGN train Press Release for more important
SHOW TIMES The Darkness The concerts will finish at 10.30 p.m. each night. We look forward to
seeing you there!
