The Garden Terrace Room opened its doors on the 6th of July alongside Knebworth's popular Barns and Conference centre. The new facility has been well received by visitors and organisers alike.

"We are so pleased to have a dedicated facility for individual and group visitors, which not only provides an excellent service and product, but also creates a beautiful new entrance into the Gardens and towards the House," says Martha Lytton Cobbold, Managing Director.

The landscaped terrace offers a serene view of the rose gardens and borders, tempting one to explore the 28 acres of formal gardens. The adjoining oak-framed Loggia provides an entrance to the gardens and frames a 150-year old cedar tree surrounded by Lutyens-designed benches. "Sir Edwin Lutyens married my great, great aunt Emily Lytton and was instrumental in the turn-of-the-century alterations to the House and Gardens," explains The Hon. Henry Lytton Cobbold, who lives in Knebworth House with his family.

The Garden Terrace Room has seating for 76 guests and during the Park's open season serves a variety of hot and cold snacks, freshly-prepared sandwiches, homemade cakes, tea, coffee and much more. During the Park's closed season and for evening entertaining the Garden Terrace Room is available for private hire.
